Before

A template site, and a business run from one guide's phone.

The old site had five template pages: an intro, an About page, one page for both fisheries, a contact form labeled Book a Trip, and a blog. It drew about 47 visitors a month.

A trip request arrived as an email. There was no calendar, no deposit, and no record of who had asked or who had fished before. Bookings, deposits, balance reminders and follow-up all ran through the guide's phone.

The site

Designed for this business, not from a template.

What we built

One site, and one system behind it.

The website is the front door. The system behind it handles booking, payments, client records, and every message a customer receives.

  1. The website

Nineteen pages designed and coded for this business. Each fishery has its own page, photography, species detail and season, so it can rank for its own search.

  2. Nine booking calendars

Full day, half day, multi-day, casting instruction and availability requests, each with its own rules, form and confirmation. Confirmed trips land on the owner's calendar, and anything he books himself blocks the online one.

  3. Deposits and balance payments

A deposit at booking and the balance link two days before the trip, with a reminder. Products, receipts, invoices and payment links, all in the site's colors.

  4. Automatic emails and texts

Twenty-five-plus written messages: confirmations per trip type, reschedule and cancellation notices, the night-before text, and a review request the evening of a completed trip.

  5. Waiver tracking

Signed waivers are recorded against the booking. Missing waivers are flagged before the trip.

  6. Client records and a trip pipeline

Every inquiry and booking creates a permanent record: contact details, trips taken, fishery, party size, and every message exchanged. Each trip moves from inquiry to review.

  7. One-screen dashboard

Trips, messages and new reviews on one screen, so the owner sees the season at a glance.
